While standing beneath a sacred ginkgo tree a prayer is offered for eternal happiness and prosperity of descendants.
Eternal vows exchanged at an historic 1,000-year-old shrine
Shinto Ceremony
in Tantoku Garden
~ A charming wedding ceremony held in a Meiji-era building in Koedo Kawagoe ~
Calling the God of Kawagoe Hachimangu Shrine into the Tantoku Garden.
Since this ceremony involves little movement, the elderly and small children can participate without any burden.
Ceremony of Sanshin
Guided by the sound of Gagaku, we proceed to the wedding venue. Sanshin-no-gi is performed outside the precinct of Hachimangu Shrine and is a special plan only for Tantoku Garden.
Wedding Ceremony
In a tasteful building built in the Meiji era, the sound of Gagaku reverberates.
