Here are some frequently asked questions about Tantoku Garden Wedding.
About Facilities
- What is the nearest train station or access?
- We are a 3 minute walk from Kawagoe-shi station on the Tobu Tojo Line and a 7 minute walk from Hon-Kawagoe Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line.
Please check the map for details. - Is the room smoking or non-smoking?
- The room and all other indoor facilities are non-smoking. This includes the use of "vapor" and other electronic tobacco devices.
We will provide an ashtray for customers who wish to smoke in the adjacent parking space. - Due to physical issues I am unsure whether I will be able to kneel during the ceremony.
Will I be able to use a chair if uncomfortable? - Of course, we want this to be a pleasant experience of your stay in Japan and your comfort is necessary to truly enjoy these traditions.
- Does the room have barrier-free/wheelchair access?
- As this is a home more than a century old, and to keep it in its traditional form we do not have wheelchair access to the room or the surrounding garden.
Additionally the stairwell leading to the upper sleeping floor is very steep.
We ask for your understanding when making your reservation. - Is there a changing room?
- Both men and women are available.
We ask you to manage your valuables. - Is parking available?
- Of course, we provide 10 free parking lots.
- Is it possible to charter a bus?
- It can be prepared for a fee.
Please let us know the number of passengers and the place of departure.
About Contents Of Wedding
- Is there a meal menu for children?
- Courses for children are available, but please note that we do not have baby food.
- Is it possible to deal with dietary allergies?
- Of course, it is possible.
Please let us know the details of allergies in advance. - Can I bring special items that I would like to use during the wedding?
- It depends on the item, but we can store most items for a small fee.
- Can you help with last minute changes?
- Of course. Please discuss any late changes with your wedding planner.
About Stay
- Can we book on the day of?
- Due to demand, and rental service being limited to one group per day, we cannot make promises that space will be available at such short notice.
We ask that you call or check on line for any last minute availabilities. - Can we stay for more than one night?
- Due to the facilities size and high demand, plus the high turnover of visitors to see the gardens, we unfortunately can only accept single night stays at this time.
- Does overnight stay include dinner?
- Dinner is not included in the price, but can be arranged. Please inform us of your desire at the time of reservation.
We can also help you with ordering in, or reserving dinner at any local restaurants as well as help you with recommendations.
About Payment
- Is a deposit necessary?
- We require a deposit of ¥100,000 the day following your reservation.
- When is full payment for the wedding due?
- We require full payment one week prior to the wedding date.
- Do you accept credit cards?
- We ask that payment be made by bank deposit.
About Visits & Reservations
Due to the ongoing effects of Covid-19, we ask that all questions and inquiries in to the plans for weddings at Tantoku Gardens be conducted by reservation.
